How to Change Default Favicon for Your DotNetNuke Site

What’s a Favicon? A favicon is the little icon that browsers display next to a page’s title on a browser tab, or in the address bar next to its URL. It also is used when you bookmark a page. Here are some examples:

  How to Change Your Favicon for Your DotNetNuke Website? By default your DotNetNuke website displays a DotNetNuke pinwheel icon to the left of your URL in your browser’s Address bar field. You can change this icon with your own custom favicon by following steps. 1.  Use a free service like www.favicon.cc to convert your image in to .ico format. Click > Import Image > Choose File > Upload.

Click > Download Favicon.

2.  Log into your website as Admin or Host. 3.  Go to Admin > Site Settings.

4.  Go to Appearance section. 5.  Locate the Favicon.ico section. Click Upload File then browse to where your favicon.ico is on your local PC and select it.

  6.  Select the favicon in the drop down menu and click Update.
